Objective
Be the player that builds the most amount of S'mores with the highest point value.
Must Have the Following Cards to Make a S'more
- (2) Graham Crackers
- (1) Chocolate
- (1) Marshmallow
Card Types
- Ingredient Cards = Used to create your S'more.
- Bonus Cards = Increase pt. value to your hand.
- Action Cards = Decrease your pt. value.
- Filler Cards = No Value.
Example cards shown on the sheet (point values as printed):
- Ingredient: Perfect Graham Cracker (3 points); Old Stale Graham Cracker (1 point); Perfect Chocolate Squares (3 points); Perfect Marshmallow (3 points).
- Bonus: "You create a perfect fire" (the point value on the card is too small to read reliably on the sheet).
- Action: a card with a red banner showing a point decrease (the point value is too small to read reliably on the sheet).
- Filler: "Canoe" (no value).
Editor's note: the sheet's example bonus and action cards are printed at a resolution where their point values are illegible; those values are left unstated here rather than guessed.
How to Play
- Shuffle the cards, deal out 5 cards to each player.
- Youngest goes first, play moves to the left.
- The player has three possible choices of how to move next: a. Take a card from the top of the deck and discard one. b. Ask any player to "fan 'em." After player fans cards so that no one can see them, pick any card from their hand and replace it with one of yours. c. If you have a Go-To Cabinet card you can go through the discard pile or the rest of the deck and take one card. The Go-To Cabinet card is then discarded.
- Once you have collected the cards to make a S'more, lay them face up in front of you. If you have any bonus cards lay those down also.
- After laying down the S'more ingredients cards and any bonus cards, the player then picks up the same amount of cards from the deck and tries to build the next S'more.
- Play continues until you have played through the complete deck one time.
- Each player that makes a S'more counts up their score and deducts any setbacks. The player with the highest points wins!
Special Notes
A) If the game is played through the complete deck and no S'mores were made, each player keeps the cards from their hand, reshuffles the cards from the discard pile and play resumes.
B) If a player builds a S'more and tries to pick up the next 4 or 5 cards and there are not enough cards to complete the hand, the game is over. The player that was trying to pick up the cards from the deck does not have to use the cards that are left since they cannot make a full hand.
C) If a player makes a S'more and picks up the last 4 or 5 cards from the deck each player has one turn to ask a player to "fan 'em" to try to make one last S'more. The game is over.
D) After a player lays down their S'more cards they cannot add to that S'more in future play.
E) At the end of the game any cards left un-played do not count.
