The extra-damage option lets you discard an equipped ability card with the matching skill icon (not a card from hand), and the designer confirms it adds +1 damage rather than +1 accuracy unless the card says so. How many cards you can discard per attack is disputed: the Rulepop-based reading is one card per attack and only on a hit, while a 2026 reply says you can discard two savvy cards for +2. Discarding one card for two different bonuses is not allowed.
