Ability cards pay their command back to the supply, so you can use them as many times as you have command. Adventure cards need their command cleared (for example with the Bridge or Quarters ship action) before reuse; crew-board and adventure-card tokens stay until removed, and an adventure card cannot be activated again while it still carries tokens.
