Goal of the Game
To win the game, collect the most complete families, each made up of 4 members.
To help younger players, the members are numbered:
- the mother
- the father
- the daughter
- the son
Setup
- Shuffle the cards well.
- Deal 6 cards to each player.
- Place the remaining cards in a face-down pile: this is the draw pile.
Playing the Game
Players look at their cards and sort them by family. If a player has a complete family, they place it in front of them, face up.
Play proceeds clockwise. The youngest player begins.
On their turn, the player asks the opponent of their choice whether that opponent has a card they need to complete a family.
For example: "In the Sacado family, I would like the mother."
- If the opponent has that card, they give it to the player. The player may then ask the opponent of their choice for another card.
- If the opponent does not have the requested card, the player takes the first card from the draw pile.
- If the drawn card is the one they wanted, they say "bonne pioche" ("good draw") and continue playing.
- Otherwise, the turn passes to the next player.
End of the Game
The game ends when all the families have been completed. The player with the most families wins the game.
