Creature Deck Construction
The Creature pile is made up of 30 cards (Summon cards are not included).
You may draw 30 Creatures at random to build this pile. However, if you want the game to be balanced for all Adventurers of Set a Watch, the following guidelines are recommended. Include:
- At least 4 Forest Creatures
- At least 4 Undead
- At least 2 Dragons
- At least 1 Human, 1 Goblin, and 1 Golem
- At least 2 Acolytes
Reminder of Outriders Rules and Card Effects
Rider (Dragon or Beast): A Creature power that allows you to target a Creature Type (Dragon, or Forest Creature for the Beast Rider) adjacent to the card that triggered the effect. If the targeted Creature Type is revealed directly in front of or behind the card in the Line, the Rider card is placed on the Creature and is treated as a single Creature of the Rider's Creature Type (remember to advance the Line). The Rider's Damage gains +X, where X is the Base Damage of the Mounted Creature. (Example: if the Goblin Archer is the Rider of the Boar, they are treated as a single Goblin Creature, and the Archer has a Damage of 7: its Damage of 4 plus the +3 from the Boar.) Once these cards are combined, they cannot be Tamed.
Freeze X Abilities: A Creature power or Summon effect that forces the Adventurers on Watch to spend X dice on Ability cards without activating their effects. Only Ability cards that have not been activated by a die can be Frozen. If an Adventurer has no unused die to spend on an Ability that is still active, they cannot be Frozen (the Barbarian is immune to the Freeze effect). If an Ability is Frozen, it can no longer be activated by a die, but it can still be exhausted to be activated.
Translation Notes
- The sheet is printed in French. This English version is a faithful translation; the terms are rendered to match the Set a Watch base rulebook where it has an English equivalent: "Rangée" as Line, "Capacité" as Ability card, "Invocation" as Summon, "épuisée" as exhausted, "Dressée" as Tamed, and "Vigueur" as Damage.
- The "Groupe d'Aventuriers Sentinelles" of the source is rendered as "Adventurers on Watch", the base rulebook's term for the Adventurers defending the camp during the Watch phase.
- The icon printed after "+X" on the sheet is the Damage icon; it is written here as the word "Damage".
- "Rider" is the English rendering of "Cavalier" and "Freeze" of "Figer". The sheet does not print the official English terms.
