Requirements
- 1 copy of Sagrada
- 1 copy of each of the Great Facades expansions (Passion, Life, & Glory)
Tournament
Up to 4 players play a series of 3 games against each other. Each game uses 1 of the 3 Great Facades expansions.
Game Setup
Per game, players use the same Window Pattern. The setup (objectives, tools, module setup, etc.) for each game is listed on the back of that game's Window Pattern cards. For games 2 and 3, the most recent player in last place selects the start player.
Winning the Tournament
After each game, award Tournament Points for each player's place. Games 2 and 3 will provide either a bonus or a penalty (details on the back). End game scores only matter for placement; they aren't added to Tournament Point totals.
The player with the most Tournament Points after all 3 games is the winner. Ties are broken by the placement order in the final game (ascending).
Tracking Scores / Points
In this pack is a card with spaces to track the results of each game. Use a fine-tip marker to fill them in. Use the back side if you want to run the tournament again.
Tournament Points per Game Based on Place
| Place | Game 1 | Game 2 | Game 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 9 | 7 | 5 |
| 2nd | 7 | 5 | 3 |
| 3rd | 5 | 3 | 1 |
| 4th | 3 | 1 | 0 |
Bonus / Penalty
In addition to the Tournament Points awarded each game (above), players each gain a bonus for placing better than their previous game, or a penalty for placing worse. If they stayed in the same place, they neither gain nor lose points.
After Games 2 and 3, each player calculates their bonus or penalty based on the difference in places between the current and previous game.
For each player, calculate their bonus as their place finished in the previous game minus their place number in the current game. This value may be negative.
Example: If you got 3rd place in Game 1 and 1st place in Game 2, your Game 2 bonus is 3 - 1 = 2 points (gain 2 additional points). If you then got 4th place in Game 3, your Game 3 penalty is 1 - 4 = -3 points (lose 3 points). The final total for this example is [not legible in the photograph].
Tournament Point Calculations
- Game 1 Total (G1) = Points awarded based on place.
- Game 2 Total (G2) = Game 2 Points based on place + (Game 1 Place - Game 2 Place).
- Game 3 Total (G3) = Game 3 Points based on place + (Game 2 Place - Game 3 Place).
- Final Total = G1 + G2 + G3.
Note: the formula lines above were read from a low-resolution photograph. The sign and order of the place differences are as printed on the card; the card's own wording is followed.
