How do German Railroads income markers work?

You choose which face-up income marker to take when you qualify, not a random one, and you may hold two of the same kind. Each marker pays once per round (including the round you get it) as a free addition to your normal action, on your own turn, before or after placing a worker. Turn it face down after use; markers flip back up after scoring. Coins are unlimited.
