Goal of the Game

Win the most money, of course! How? You have 7 rounds to collect as many bills as possible and, as a bonus, to win Bonus tokens at the end of the game.

2-6 players, 20 minutes, ages 8+.

Components

  • 150 bills (30 bills per value). Front: Bet side. Back: Wallet side.
  • 2 dice
  • 7 Start tokens
  • 11 Bonus tokens
  • This rulebook

Play Areas

The play area is made up of 3 zones:

  • A. The Bank: the central zone with the piles of bills, the Bonus tokens and the Start tokens.
  • B. The Bet: in front of each player, the zone where each player places the bills accumulated during the round. These bills are not secured.
  • C. The Wallet: under the Bet, the zone where each player secures their bills. Secured bills are kept for the rest of the game.

Setup

Before the first game, carefully detach the tokens from the cardboard sheets.

  1. Sort and place the bills in 5 piles of the same value in the center of the play area.
  2. Shuffle the Start tokens. Make a face-down pile and turn one face up.
  3. Place the Bonus tokens next to the piles of bills of the same color.
  4. The player with the most money takes the 2 dice; the person who rolls the dice is the First player.

Turn Overview

The game is made up of 7 rounds of one or more turns, depending on the result of the dice. During a turn, players follow these steps:

  1. Roll the dice!
  2. Actions
    • Different values: Take a bill or Secure. (If at least 1 player took a bill, pass the dice to the player on the left.)
    • Identical values: Crash! or Stay.
  3. End of round

1 - Roll the Dice!

The First player rolls the two dice. Two cases can arise. The dice show:

  • 2 different values, OR
  • 2 identical values.

Important: Even if a player has secured their Bet (see Secure), they may still be First player and roll the dice.

2 - Actions

Different Values

In this case, in turn order, clockwise and starting with the First player, each player chooses one of the following actions: Take a bill OR Secure.

Take a bill:

  • The player takes from the Bank a bill with the value of one of the 2 dice and puts it in their Bet.
  • R face: if the result of one of the dice is an R, players may take any bill from the Bank.

Secure:

  • The player adds the bills of their Bet to their Wallet. By turning their bills to the Wallet side, they secure them for the rest of the game.
  • A player who secures their Bet can no longer take bills until the next round.
  • Start token: when a player secures their Bet, they take a Start token face up if any remain.

If at least one player takes a bill, the First player passes the dice to the player on their left, who becomes the First player. -> Return to step 1: Roll the dice.

If all players have secured their Bet, -> go to step 3: End of round.

Identical Values

Everyone shouts Rollie! At this moment the game is interrupted. Each player must check whether they made a Crash OR whether they Stay.

Crash!

  • The player having in their Bet at least one bill of the same value as the result of the dice must return all the bills of their Bet to the Bank.
  • 2 R faces: if the result of the dice is 2 R faces, all players crash!

Stay

  • The player who has no bill of the same value as the result of the dice in their Bet must keep their Bet in play for the next round.

Once these actions are completed, go to step 3: End of round.

Simultaneous Play

When a player has made a decision, they do not have to wait for their turn: they take a bill, or may withdraw whenever they want. In all cases, they cannot go back on their decision.

Note: if the player took the last bill of a pile or a Start token and a previous player wants it too, that player must put it back and choose another.

Empty Pile

If a pile of bills is exhausted, no more bills of this value can be taken. When a second pile of bills is also exhausted, the round ends, then the end of the game begins.

Warning! If all the piles of bills corresponding to the values of the dice are exhausted, all players still in play lose their Bet.

3 - End of Round

A round ends when all players have secured their Bet OR after the resolution of a roll of dice of the same value.

Once the round is over:

  • reveal a new Start token;
  • all players come back into play;
  • pass the dice to the next First player, to the left of the previous one, and return to step 1: Roll the dice to begin a new round.

End of the Game

The game ends:

  • After 7 rounds, when it is no longer possible to reveal a new Start token,

OR

  • When 2 piles of bills are exhausted - in this case, finish the current round.

Then:

  • The bills remaining in the players' Bets are returned to the Bank.
  • Proceed to the awarding of the Bonus tokens.
  • Each player adds up the value of all their bills and all their Bonus tokens; the player with the highest total wins the game!

Awarding the Bonus Tokens

Once the game is finished, determine who wins the Bonus tokens. The color of these tokens is the same as that of the bills. A player must have at least ONE bill of a color to be entitled to a Bonus token of the same color.

  • The player with the most bills of a color wins the highest Bonus token of that color.
  • The player in 2nd place wins the 2nd highest value.
  • The player in third place (if any) wins the remaining value.

Start tokens (tie-break): In case of a tie, the player who collected the Start token with the highest number wins the Bonus token. If neither of them has a Start token, the Bonus token is awarded to the next player who has the most bills.

End of Game Example

  • Juliette and Ulysse both have 5 bills of -5. Juliette has Start token 7, so she beats Ulysse, whose Start tokens are lower (the 5 and the 6). The Bonus of 100 goes to Juliette. Ulysse takes 2nd place. The 3rd place Bonus goes to Clement, who has 3 bills of -5 in his Wallet.
  • Fanny wins the 1st place Bonus with 6 bills of 0. Ulysse and Clement have exactly the same number of bills. Fanny takes 1st position. Ulysse is the only one with a Start token, so he wins 2nd position. Clement then takes the Bonus for 3rd place.
  • Clement and Fanny each have 5 bills of 2, but no Start token. This tie is impossible to resolve: they are excluded from the race and win no Bonus. The 1st place Bonus is awarded to Juliette with her 4 bills of 2. With a single bill, Ulysse wins the 2nd place Bonus. The 3rd place Bonus is then not awarded.
  • Ulysse and Fanny are tied with 7 bills of 5 each. Thanks to his Start token, Ulysse wins the 1st place Bonus. The 2nd place Bonus then goes to Fanny.
  • There are no Start tokens for the bills of 10. Simply add up their value (Ulysse x1, Clement x8, Juliette x4, Fanny x6).

Each player adds up the value of all their bills to that of their Bonus tokens: Ulysse wins the game!

  • Ulysse: -25 + 2 + 35 + 10 + 200 = 222
  • Clement: -15 + 10 + 25 + 80 + 70 = 170
  • Juliette: -25 + 8 + 0 + 40 + 170 = 193
  • Fanny: 0 + 10 + 35 + 50 + 110 = 205

Player Aid

1 - Roll the dice! 2 - Actions: different values (Take a bill / Secure; at least 1 player takes a bill: pass the dice to the player on the left) or identical values (Crash! / Stay). 3 - End of round.
