Setup
Place the Improvised Weapon tiles, invention side up, next to the game board.
Game Flow
During the Action phase, you may build 1 Improvised Weapon with action 1. If the action was successful, turn the built Improvised Weapon over to its item side and place it on the game board so that it covers the area shown for weapon strength.
While the Improvised Weapon lies there, its effect applies to each action [red animal icon on a red square] in which you reveal a corresponding [red animal icon on a black square].
There may only ever be 1 Improvised Weapon on the game board. If you build another Improvised Weapon, remove the Improvised Weapon currently on the board from the game. You may not build it again in this game.
Component Notes
- The printed sheet does not name the two animal icons. They are written here as descriptive placeholders from their appearance in the photograph, because the glyphs are small and the photograph does not show their names. Check both against the base game's icon key before relying on the wording. The printed text says the effect applies to each action of the first kind in which a corresponding symbol of the second kind is revealed.
- The icon "1" after "action" is a black square with a white "1" and is rendered as "action 1".
- The sheet's terms "invention side" and "item side" are the printed names of the two faces of the tile and are used as printed.
- The heading "Improvised Weapons" is the English rendering of the printed German title "IMPROVISIERTE WAFFEN"; the tile's own name in the game is the Special Weapon Tiles.
