Setup Changes
Start with a Shelter build and [gold coin icon] at level 0. The Soldier character may be used even in a single or 2-players game.
Adjusting the Scenario
If you think this scenario is too easy, add the following rule during the Night phase: when at least one player doesn't eat, one film-maker dies. The Actress doesn't die: she goes away, and you have to find her as if she were captured by King Kong.
Goal of the Scenario
Build 3 Traps to ensnare King Kong, capture him using a special Hunting action, and ensure the Actress and Director escape the island unharmed.
- Each Trap must be built on a different Island tile with a [lair token].
- Traps may be constructed on the Camp tile or adjacent tiles with the regular Building action.
- To build a Trap further away, follow the rules of Distance on the Island.
- The special Hunting action requires you to build 3 Traps first and use 2 [pawn icon]. It reduces [skull icon: King Kong's strength] by 5.
If all players are then alive, the Actress is not captured, and the Director is still alive, you win.
Special Rules
When the [red die icon] reduces Palisades below zero, instead of the Unfulfilled Demand rule, the following occurs: each player gets [broken heart icon: Wound] and [dart icon], and a member of the film crew is killed by King Kong (starting with the Light operator and moving right towards the Director).
When a crew member is killed, place a [black die] in the [empty square] underneath it. Note: the Actress is not killed by King Kong but is instead taken captive. To rescue her, players must discover a 4th Island tile with a [lair token] and conduct a special Exploration action on it, during which they only draw the first [card-type mark] card from the Mystery deck. After resolving the card, the Actress is free again.
If you spend the Night on a tile with a [lair token], next round during the Production phase each player gets [broken heart icon: Wound].
Lairs
Each [lair token] represents a lair of King Kong. When a lair is discovered, place a single green Number token [1 2] on the Island tile.
During the Weather phase, roll a [red die icon] for each discovered lair.
Book
