96 double-sided cards.
Preparation
Shuffle all the cards and deal seven cards to each player. Turn over the top card from the deck to make the discard pile. The person who gets up earliest starts.
How the Game Works
When it is your turn, play a card from your hand on the last card played or, if you can't, draw a card from the deck. Then the turn passes to the player on your left.
To play a card from your hand, it must match the condition on the back of the top card of the deck. These conditions are:
- Be a higher number than the last card played.
- Be a lower number than the last card played.
- Be the same number as the last card played.
- Be the same symbol as the last card played.
- Be an even number.
- Be an odd number.
- Be one of the numbers shown.
If you can't play a card from your hand because you don't have a card that meets the condition, draw a card from the deck. This changes the condition for the next player, and the turn then passes to the person on your left.
Special Cards
There are also some special cards that can be played at any time regardless of the condition shown on the top card. These tell you which card should be played next:
- Burnt Toast: The next player must play a piece of toast. If you don't have any, draw cards from the deck until you get some and then play it.
- Sleepy Broken Alarm: The next player must play an alarm clock. If you don't have one, draw cards from the deck until you get one and then play it.
- Dropped soap: The next player must play a soap. If you don't have any, draw cards from the deck until you get some and then play it.
- Spilled Coffee: The next player must play a cup of coffee. If you don't have one, draw cards from the deck until you get one and then play it.
- Phone: The next player must play another phone or take as many cards as phones have been played. After taking the right number of cards, the player places the next card from the deck on top of the phone. Then the turn passes to the next player.
Special Reverses
And that's not all! Keep your eyes peeled and your reflexes sharp because there are four special reverses that will test your reflexes. Be the first to react so you can get rid of your cards!
The first player to put their hand on top when any of these appears and says "RIIING", may discard all the cards in their hand that have the same symbol as on that reverse card (alarm clock, soap, coffee or toast). After discarding the correct cards, the player turns over the top card of the deck, places it face up on the discard pile, and the turn passes to the next player.
End of the Game
The game ends when a player gets rid of all the cards in their hand. Now you're ready to get on the bus and start your day in the best way!
