If the foe card and the app disagree on a battle effect, which do I follow?
The designer said to follow the effect shown in the app.

Follow the app. The physical foe card is general information on how the foe behaves, not the full list of its effects. For example, Oreks only make you lose what the drawn cards say, after Advantages.
