Who goes first each month, and does the first player change?
The rulebook's Individual Turns section states this.

The first player takes only the first turn of the game. From month two on, the player to the left of whoever took the last turn of the previous month goes first, and play continues clockwise. You do not know the exact turns per month, only the average.
