In an event, who does 'you' mean, and who takes the corruption if the event can't be paid?
The rulebook has the dropper make the event's choices and the designer ruled on who takes the corruption.

Foe strike events affect all players. 'You' in an event means the player who just took the turn and dropped the skull, who also makes any choices the event requires. If an event makes every hero lose something and a hero cannot pay in full, that hero takes the corruption.
