Can I add Advantages mid-battle with a potion or treasure, such as Zaida's +3 wild?
The designer confirmed that mid-battle use is allowed.

Yes. Items can be used any time on your turn, so you can drink a potion or spend a treasure like Zaida's during a battle, even in response to the card you are facing, and then use the new Advantages on that card. Advantages carry from one card or room to the next, and you can use them before a card forces a corruption.
