- 10 space cards
- 12 plastic spaceships (3 in each of four colors)
- 1 die
Game Rules
The youngest player goes first. Turns continue in a clockwise direction.
On your turn, roll the die. If it is a number, move one of your spaceships toward the moon for as many space cards as the number rolled. (Following rules may be exceptions to this).
Asteroid Belt Card: Every spaceship is hindered by the asteroid belt. Your spaceship must stop on this card, even if your die roll would normally allow you to go farther.
Shooting Star Card: If your spaceship lands on this card by exact count, you may immediately advance exactly three more spaces.
Arrows on the Die: If your die roll shows two arrows, you have one of the following two choices. One is favorable for you; the other is unfavorable for one opponent you choose. If you cannot use either of these two choices, you lose your turn.
- You may move one of your spaceships ahead to your next spaceship that is ahead of it. If the asteroid belt is in the way, you must stop there as normal. You cannot choose this option if you have only one spaceship left in space or if all three of your spaceships are on the same card.
- You may take one of your opponent's spaceships and move it back to the nearest spaceship of the same color. In this case, it does not have to stop at the asteroid belt. You may not use this option is the opponent only has one spaceship left in space or if they are all on the same card.
Black Hole: After each player has taken his turn, and before the first player goes again, a black hole in space appears on the bottom card. That card is taken up and placed between the spacecards and the moon. If any spacehips happen to be on that card, they are lost. Place them back in the box. If you lose all your spaceships this way, you are out of the game. Better luck next time!
To Land on the Moon: You do not need to land on the moon by exact count. (You may roll a higher number than needed). When you reach the moon, place your spaceship on the highest available number. There can only be one spaceship at each one.
End of the Game
The game is over when all spaceships have either reached the moon or have been lost to a black hole. Each player adds up the points earned by the spaceships on the moon, and the player with the most points wins.
