Contents

  • 1 game board, with 25 spaces connected by lines
  • 7 light Stars
  • 7 dark Stars

Goal of the Game

Form a perfect square of 4 Stars in your color, connected by straight lines.

Setup

Place the game board in the center of the table. Each player chooses a color and takes the 7 Stars of that color.

How to Play

The player who last gazed at the stars goes first. On your turn, play one of these 2 actions:

  • Place a Star of your color on a free space on the game board.

OR

  • Move a Star of your color.

To move your Star, slide it along a line onto the next connected space. You may move diagonally or orthogonally.

If the new space is empty, nothing else happens.

If the new space is occupied by another Star (of either color), you can push that Star in the same direction onto the next connected space. You can only push a Star onto another space if that space is empty.

It is possible to push your own or your opponent's Star off the board from the outer square. If you do, that Star returns to its player and can be played again as normal.

You can also choose to move one of your own Stars off the board from the outer square.

Note

  • You can only push one Star at a time.
  • You cannot undo your opponent's previous turn by playing their action in reverse.

End of the Game

The winner is the player who forms a square of 4 Stars in their color using the straight lines. You can ignore your opponent's Stars when forming your square.

If you create a square for your opponent when you push their Star, they win.

If, when you push their Star, you simultaneously create squares for both you and your opponent, they win.
