How many doubloons can quarries save on a building?
The rulebook states this directly, and forum players agree.

Each occupied quarry takes one doubloon off any building, up to the limit for the building's column on the board: 1 in the first column, 2 in the second, 3 in the third and 4 in the fourth. The icons on the board set a limit, not a requirement.
