Does the Factory pay for goods I could produce but cannot because the supply ran out?
The rulebook states this directly, and forum players agree.

No. The Factory pays by the number of kinds of goods you actually receive, so a kind that is exhausted in the supply does not count. The rulebook example shows 1 doubloon for two kinds when corn had run out.
