Preparation
Separate the sheriff's star card and set it aside for now. Spread all the other cards out on the table - they show the wanted rats on both sides.
Note: place all the cards so that the side with the small star is faceup.
How to Play
A game is played over several rounds. In the first round, the youngest player chooses a card at random from the table, places it in front of them and turns it over. This will be the wanted mouse!
Now, all players, including the one who turned the card over, search for the card on the table that corresponds to that mouse. During the search, the players must keep their dominant hand (the right if they are right-handed or the left if they are left-handed) under the table by their hip, where their imaginary revolver is, and can only use their other hand to point to the card.
The round ends when a player finds the corresponding mouse on the table first. This player wins the first round, becomes the sheriff and places only the sheriff's star card in front of them. Possession of the sheriff's star can alternate from player to player over the following rounds, in no set order.
Return the wanted mouse to the table.
Attention: turn the card over before returning it to the table (open cards on the table must always show the side with the star in the top right corner).
Start the next round: the sheriff randomly picks up another card from the table, places it in front of them and turns it over. A new search begins...
Warning: the sheriff must not pick up the same card as the previous round!
End of Game and Winner
When a player who is currently in possession of the sheriff's star wins another round, the game ends and that player is the winner, i.e. to win the game, a player must win two rounds in a row.
