Contents

  • 4 amulets
  • 4 threading laces
  • 36 jewel tiles in 4 different shapes, including 4 black worthless stone tiles
  • 1 set of instructions

Setup

Before the first game, thread an amulet on the center of each lace with a loop.

Each player receives an amulet on a lace. Surplus amulets are returned to the box. The jewel tiles are placed face down on the table and mixed.

How to Play

The game proceeds clockwise. The princess who most recently danced begins by turning over two tiles of the same shape.

  • Do the jewels have the same color? Take the matching pair and thread one tile on the right and one on the left of your amulet necklace.
  • Do the jewels have different colors, or is one a worthless black stone? Turn the two tiles back over, face down, after all players have seen them.

Now, it is the next player's turn.

End of the Game

The game ends when all of the jewel pairs have been found and only the four worthless black stones are on the table. Players then count the number of gemstones threaded onto their amulet necklaces. The princess with the most jewels wins and is, for today, the most decorated princess at the ball. In case of a tie, the triumph is shared.

Simplified Version

For a simplified version, remove the worthless black stone tiles and continue the game according to the rules.

Tip

Make "real" jewelry by tying the lace ends together. Little princesses can exercise their royal fantasy, creating new necklaces by threading the gemstones in a myriad of different combinations.
