Aim of the Game

To get the highest total score.

How to Play

  • Each player takes a score card.
  • The youngest player goes first. Gameplay then moves to the left.
  • On each player's turn, the player may roll the pandas up to 3 times.
  • You may stop rolling and score after your first or second roll.
  • On your first roll: Roll all 5 pandas. Set aside any you wish to keep. You may stop and score now, or roll again.
  • On your second roll: Reroll any pandas that you have not set aside. You can aim for any combination, and you can change your mind after any roll. You may stop and score now, or set any aside you wish to keep and roll again.
  • On your third and final roll: Reroll any pandas that you have not set aside. After your third roll you must fill in a box on your scorecard. If you have not achieved any of the combinations you must write 0 in one of the boxes.
  • Fill in each box on your scorecard only once, in any order, depending on your best scoring option.
  • Once each player has filled in all boxes, the game ends.

Each player now adds up their score.

  • Once the scores are tallied, the player with the highest overall score wins the game.

Scoring

Top Section

In this section, add up the number of pandas with the corresponding position in each box. For example, if you roll the below you could score 3 in the 'face it' section.

(The printed example shows three pandas showing the same position, with the caption "= 3 Points".)

Bottom Section

Set of 3 (Score 3)

You can fill in this box if the pandas you roll include 3 or more of the same position. If you roll 3 of any position, you score 3 points.

Printed example: three pandas showing the same position plus two others, "= 3 Points".

Set of 4 (Score 4)

You can fill in this box if the pandas you roll include 4 or more of the same position. If you roll 4 of any position, you score 4 points.

Printed example: four pandas showing the same position plus one other, "= 4 Points".

Set of 5 (Score 5)

You can fill in this box if the pandas you roll include 5 of the same position. If you roll 5 of any position, you score 10 points.

Printed example: five pandas showing the same position, "=10 Points".

Note: the printed heading for this box reads "(Score 5)" but the body text and the example both say 10 points. This transcription reproduces both as printed; the body text and the example give 10 points.

Mix Up (Score 5)

You can fill in this box if the pandas you roll show 3 of one position and 2 of another. A mix up is worth 5 points.

Printed example: three pandas showing one position and two showing another, "= 5 Points".

All different (Score 5)

You can fill in this box if all 5 of the pandas you roll show a different position.

Printed example: five pandas each showing a different position, "= 5 Points".
