Read This Before Doing Anything

READ THIS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!
In this game, you are journalists. This isn't the first time you've been sent on a work trip to a small town to cover a local festival. But it looks like this time you'll be writing about something far more interesting...
Do not shuffle the cards! Turn over and open a card only if you are told to by an instruction on a card that is already open.

Laying Out and Passing Cards
Card A2 (German-language edition), front:
You may lay the cards out however you like. Every player may look again at any card that is currently open, at any time. For a better overview, you can set aside cards whose leads and information you have completely used up — but lay them so that you can still check the elapsed time (clock icon).
Turn this card over and pass it to the player on your left. (Also pass the arrow card A1r to that player.)
Following Leads
Card A1r (German-language edition), front — the opening lines are hidden behind another photo in the source image:
[beginning obscured] ...then lays it out in the middle of the table. The more you discover as the game goes on, the more cards lie face up.
Many cards show arrows (→) with a letter-and-number combination in front of them. These are leads. The player whose turn it is chooses exactly one of the currently open leads and follows it. The other players may advise them, but the final decision always belongs to the active player.
Right now, you are the active player. To find out how things continue, here is your first lead: A2 →
The red arrow at the bottom of this card marks the active player. Place this card in front of you so that the arrow points at you. When it becomes another player's turn, hand this card to them.
Scoring
The closing "Your Result" card (Russian-language edition), front — its own index letter and number are not visible in the source photo:
Your result:
- 70+ — You are incredibly fast and perceptive! You have been offered a job at a magazine with a worldwide reputation.
- 55–69 — A very good result! You are offered a promotion and much more freedom in choosing what to investigate.
- 40–54 — Not everything went perfectly, but you did well, and your boss thanks you for your work.
- 10–39 — You still have many investigations ahead of you that will go better than this one.
- Below 10 — You are reassigned to cover the unpopular board-game beat.
