Role Cards

Bikendi Otongu

Role 4

The Mwangi wizard Bikendi Otongu believed he could extend his life by binding his soul to the powerful Immortal Dreamstone. The foolish wizard betrayed the night hag Lodhotha and stole the stone from her cyclops allies, only to have the cyclops lord Ishtoreth steal it back. His trapped ghost hopes to reclaim the stone by subsuming the body of a willing adventurer. In exchange for great treasure, he promises to give that body back.

Ships

Blood Moon

Ship 4

Check to Repair: Craft 7

This two-master is the flagship of Avimar Sorrinash, Lord of Ollo. You'd think a werewolf on a ship would be a bad thing for the crew, and you'd be right, if the crewmen weren't all werewolves.

When commanding this ship: When you encounter a bane, if the top card of the blessings discard pile is Blessing of the Gods, the difficulty to defeat that bane is increased by 3.

Come What May

Ship 4

Check to Repair: Craft 8

Lady Cerise Bloodmourn's stolen Cassomir galley befits her noble background. If she ever ascends to the title of Hurricane King, this stout vessel will be her castle.

When commanding this ship: After you reset your hand, discard any cards that have the Aristocrat or Captain trait.

Home Sweet Home

Scenario 4

Locations:

PlayersLocation
1Great Stone Bridge
1Dinosaur Corral
2Coastline
3Mangrove Swamp
4Jungle
5Ghol-Gan Ruins
6Sea Fort

As a prize for winning the Free Captains' Regatta, the Pirate Council has bestowed upon you ownership of the Island of Empty Eyes. Ruins of the ancient cyclopean empire of Ghol-Gan litter the would-be pirate paradise, and not all are uninhabited. It's time to evict some freeloaders.

Locations

Dinosaur Corral

Location 4

The cyclopean inhabitants of the Island of Empty Eyes have limited options when it comes to food. Their predicament would be considerably more distressing if it wasn't for the island's native dinosaur population. Many of the giant lizards prove useful in hunting game. Less useful saurians make fine meals themselves—even though they typically taste like briny chicken.

Eye of Serenity

Location 4

Time flows strangely around this massive crystal. Ghol-Gan legends claim the Eye can reveal the mysteries of the past and future, but only to those who would risk their ability to view the present.

At this location: At the start of your turn, summon and encounter the henchman Cyclops Oracle, then examine the bottom card of any location deck.

Great Stone Bridge

Location 4

Each gigantic cyclops statue here has a fiery gemstone blazing as its single eye. Monuments loom over either end of an ancient stone bridge, scrutinizing all who would dare pass.

At this location: When you end your turn here, you may bury 2 cards from your hand to recharge up to 2 cards from your discard pile.

Hall of Champions

Location 4

The visages and deeds of great Ghol-Gan philosophers, warriors, leaders, and seers line the walls of this crumbling chamber. The ancient cyclops heroes stare, yet to be impressed.

At this location: Add 1d6 to your checks to acquire weapons.

Ruined Amphitheater

Location 4

This giant-sized gathering place bears images of a strange, single-eyed divinity. Considering the size of the seating, it seems fortunate that the room's builders are gone.

At this location: For the rest of the scenario, the difficulty to defeat monsters that have the Giant trait at any location is increased by 3.

Teleportation Chamber

Location 4

Strange, sizable runes spiral across the walls of this domed chamber, as if circling the pale blue disk at the room's center. Some of the runes fade and vanish while new symbols spring into being.

At this location: At the end of your turn, move to another location.

Adventure

Island of Empty Eyes

Adventure 4

Victory in the Free Captains' Regatta has certainly impressed the Pirate Council, so much so that they've granted you an isle in the northern reaches of the Shackles, an untamed land known as the Island of Empty Eyes. The island is far from deserted, however, and its name suggests an ancient secret. Clearing the island of its brutal residents and transforming it into a pirate haven should promise to be a daunting task, one made all the more challenging when foes from the past return with jealous agendas.

Complete these scenarios, in this order:

  1. Home Sweet Home
  2. The Ruins of Sumitha
  3. Breaking the Dreamstone
  4. Red Rum
  5. The Feast of Spoils

Reward: Each character gains a card feat. Gain a Class 4 ship feat.

When commanding this ship: At the start of your turn, roll 1d4; on a 1, bury a card.

Wavecrest

Ship 4

Check to Repair: Craft 7

This frigate flies the flag of Captain Mase Darimar, a sailor of mixed Mwangi and aquatic elf ancestry. Like its captain, the Wavecrest is unpredictable, likely to betray allies at the whim of the winds.

When commanding this ship: At the start of your turn, succeed at a Constitution or Fortitude 8 check or bury 1 card.
