To Win
Destroy your opponent's STATION CORE card.
Setup
Each player takes a STATION CORE card and sets it on the table face up. Players can later add to their STATION CORE by placing cards under it, building a tableau and extending their station. The station generates the resources, shields, and draws for the fleet.
SHIPS in a player's fleet are played vertically. SHIPS are used for unique effects and to destroy the opponent's tableau.
To start the game, shuffle the remaining 16 cards and deal two cards to player one, and three cards to player two.
Discarded cards form a pile next to the deck. When there are no cards left to draw, reshuffle the discard pile and it becomes the deck.
On Your Turn
ON YOUR TURN, YOU CAN do any or all of these actions:
- Play one card from your hand as a ship OR as an upgrade.
- Attack with as many ships as you like.
- End your turn and draw a card for each [+draw] you have. (You can only have a maximum of three cards after this step. Discard down to three if necessary.)
Upgrades
- Any card played as an UPGRADE provides its resources immediately.
- Resources generated are cumulative. For example, generating two ore unlocks all abilities in your fleet for two ore or less.
- If an UPGRADE's SHIELDS are met or exceeded by attack power, it is destroyed.
- Any UPGRADE with [DEF!] must be attacked and destroyed first.
- Attacker takes any destroyed UPGRADE in hand.
Ships
- Any card played as a SHIP cannot attack for one turn, unless it has [Hyperdrive].
- SHIPS gain bonuses if their listed thresholds are met.
- [PASSIVE] SHIP bonuses are in play immediately.
Attacking
- First resolve any abilities from your attacking SHIP. Then add your SHIP's power (in red) to your damage pool. At any point during your turn, you may distribute some or all of your total damage pool to the enemy station UPGRADE tableau.
- You cannot damage enemy SHIPS, only UPGRADES.
- You can attack with as many SHIPS as you want in a turn.
- Any attacking SHIP is discarded after attacking.
- Upgrades with [DEF!] must be destroyed first.
