What happens to off-color dice a skill or potion gives me in a peril?

They are discarded immediately — in a peril only dice of the chosen option's color and heroic dice may stay in your pool. You can still use such a skill if you can pay its cost, but you ignore any part that would give off-color dice, and a potion cannot be used to get usable dice of another color.
