Game Objective

The game is played over 2 distinct phases. In the Dice phase players will fill their sheets with numbers according to the dice rolls. At the end of the Dice phase numbers will be added up to form cards that will be used to play a card game in the Card phase.

Components

  • 1 x Game Sheet Pad
  • 24 x Insight Cards
  • 6 x Pencils
  • 3 x Dice
  • 1 x Rulebook

Setup

  1. Each player receives a Pencil and a Game Sheet.
  2. Decide if you want to play with the Insight Cards. If this is your first game we recommend not using them. If you use the Insight Cards, shuffle them and place 3 Insight Cards face up in the middle.
  3. Select a start player randomly. The start player takes the 3 Dice

Note: the printed text of setup step 3 ends at "takes the 3 Dice" in the source leaflet; no further words are printed.

Game Flow

The game consists of the following two phases:

1) Dice phase - Determine the hand cards by rolling the Dice

a. The player with the three Dice rolls them each round until all round fields on the game sheet are filled in (for a total of 12 rounds).

b. All players always transfer the three numbers on the Dice together as a trio on three adjacent fields of the same color (any order).

c. It is possible to change one of the numbers rolled up to three times by checking one of the boxes in the top left on the Game Sheet. It can be used multiple times on the same number. Cross out one space when you change the rolled number by 1. This makes it possible to create some numbers that didn't show on the Dice (as a 7, 8 or 9 as well as -1 or -2).

d. As soon as a column is full according to the direction of the arrow, the sum of the column is transferred to the square field entered, thus creating a card.

e. At the end of the 12th dice round, each player transfers their "hand cards" to the 14 spaces on the right side of the Game Sheet. Put same-numbered cards adjacent to each other.

* The 4 card spaces with the dotted lines on the right side are only used if you play with the Insight Cards.

2) Card phase - Playing the hand cards

f. This phase begins with the player in the left corner marked with the start-player arrow icon having the lowest number. If there is a tie, the field right bottom is considered. If there is still a tie, continue to consider the right field along the outside of the cluster until the tie is broken.

In the extremely rare case that there is a tie in all 5 spaces, decide a starting player randomly.

g. On your turn you can either "play hand cards" or "pass".

h. You can play several cards of the same number at the same time.

i. After playing cards, they are crossed out with an x.

j. After passing if it is your turn again you may choose to "play hand cards" or "pass".

k. You can hide your cards from the other players by placing a hand in front of the sheet like a screen.

l. The starting player of the round starts with any number or combination of cards.

m. The other players can only play the same number of cards that are of higher value. This is done in a clockwise direction. If all players pass, the round ends.

n. If you can't or don't want to play, you pass. The starting player of the round cannot pass.

o. The player who last played cards now begins the new round.

Insight Cards

If you want to play with the Insight card reveal 3 cards during setup. The text on the cards explains additional rules and objectives that are active during the game. Some of the cards will give you additional hand cards that can be filled into the spaces with the dotted lines on the right side of the sheet.

Short Rules

Dice phase

Roll 3 Dice and transfer the numbers on adjacent same-colored spaces on the sheet. Dice value can be increased or decreased by crossing out 1 box on the top left.

After the 12th round when all spaces are filled, add up all numbers of a column according to the arrows and write the sum into the card.

Card phase

Beginning with the player with the lowest number in the leftmost space on the sheet play a card or a set of cards by announcing them and crossing them out. The other players in turn order have to play the same number of cards with a higher value. After all other players have passed the player who last played cards starts the next round. The player who has crossed out all cards first wins the game.

End of the Game

  • When a player has crossed out all cards on their sheet, they show their sheet to the other players and win the game. Then, it is the next player's turn in turn order.
  • The game ends when all players except for 1 have crossed out all of their hand cards. The order determines the ranking.
