Components

• 1 science board

Setup

Replace the science board from the base game with the science board from this expansion. As usual, place all tiles, tokens, markers and the starting students in their corresponding spaces on the board.

Game Play

All base game rules that relate to the science board apply, except for the following.

Triangular Spaces

While there is at least 1 of your students in such a triangular space, you receive 1 VP each time you perform the indicated action in any way: as the basic action, as the special effect of an Action card, or as the effect of an Invention tile or a Master card.

You always receive exactly 1 VP, regardless of the number of students in the space and regardless of the value of the action.

Objective Spaces (×2)

The two objective tile spaces are marked with a "×2" symbol and require 5 tomes.

If you have a student in one of these spaces at the end of the game, you receive the VP from that objective tile doubled. If the objective tile shows a maximum limit of "max. X" VP, that limit is doubled as well.
