Versione "Jacopo" - Gioco di memoria
Preparazione
Take all the Dinosaur tiles. Each tile has two faces: one face shows the dinosaur "hidden" behind something (a tree or a bush), and the other face shows the dinosaur "uncovered". (The sheet's illustration labels the two sides "Lati scoperti" / "Lati nascosti", i.e. uncovered sides and hidden sides.)
Turn all the tiles to the "hidden" side, shuffle them and spread them out on the table.
You are ready to play!
Come si gioca
Play proceeds clockwise, one player at a time. If you are the youngest, you go first! The goal is to find the dinosaurs with the same colours shown by the dice.
First, roll the two coloured dice and place them so that the result is visible to everyone!
Quelli senza macchie? (Dinosaurs without spots?)
In NasconDino there are dinosaurs that were born... without spots! For example, there is a T-Rex that is entirely red and a Triceratops that is entirely purple!
If both dice show the same colour (e.g. black and black), you must look for the dinosaur of that colour that has no spots (e.g. the black pterodactyl with no spots).
Cosa hai pescato? (What did you draw?)
On your turn, choose and draw one of the tiles on the table!
- È giusto? (Is it right?) - You found it! Place it in front of you, uncovered side up, so that it is visible to everyone. Then re-roll the dice to reveal which other dinosaur you must look for. Your turn is not over! Draw another tile and make another attempt.
- È sbagliato? (Is it wrong?) - It is not the one! Return the tile to where you took it, hidden side up. Your turn is over! Pass the turn to the next player.
I colori dei dinosauri (The colours of the dinosaurs)
In NasconDino there are only two dinosaurs for each colour combination.
For purple and red, there is the purple Triceratops with red spots and the red T-Rex with purple spots. For dinosaurs without spots, there is only one. If a colour combination comes up whose dinosaurs have already been taken by the other players, you must immediately re-roll the dice! And if you are really unlucky, you will have to re-roll the dice several times!
Hai preso 5 dinosauri? (Have you taken 5 dinosaurs?)
Have you managed to take five dinosaurs before the others? The game is over! You win!
Versione "Danilo" - Gioco di velocità
Preparazione
Take all the Dinosaur tiles and turn them to the "uncovered" side. If you are playing with fewer than 4 players, look for all the pairs of dinosaurs with the same colours (for example the red and brown T-Rex and the brown and red Brontosaurus) and remove one of the two dinosaurs from each pair. After removing them, you will have exactly 21 dinosaurs left.
Spread all the tiles on the table, uncovered side up.
You are ready to play!

In this version of NasconDino everyone plays together! You will not have to wait for the other players' turns to play. Roll the dice in the middle of the table so that the result is visible to all players!

Look for the dinosaur among those on the table, but be quick! You must find it before the others!
As soon as you find it, put a hand on it and take it! If there is a tie, the player whose hand is immediately on top of the dinosaur tile wins.
Place the dinosaur you have taken in front of you, so that it is always visible to the others!
This turn is over! Re-roll the dice!
Se non c'è al centro? (If it is not in the middle?)
And if, after rolling the dice, the correct dinosaur is not found in the middle of the table? It means it has already been taken! If it is among the ones you have taken, quickly put your hand on it to defend it! If it is among the ones an opponent has taken, take it away from them and add it to your own: if they are not quick enough to protect it, they will lose it! Remember that you must be careful not only to capture dinosaurs but also to protect your own!
