Components
16 Scene Cards 2 Deleted Scene Cards
Gameplay
Sitting side by side, players work together to develop a three-act film, trying to make sure the scenes of each act are in numerical order.
Setup
Place the 2 Deleted Scenes face up within reach.
Shuffle all 16 Scene Cards and place 6 of them in a face-down row to form Act I of the movie.
Decide which player will play first. Starting with them, deal 3 Scene Cards to each player. Lastly, set the remaining Scene Cards aside without looking at them.

Filming Phase
Players may not communicate, gesture, or reveal their cards during the Filming Phase except as allowed by a card effect.
Players may not arrange the cards in their hands in numerical order, since playing a card would then reveal information about the remaining cards.
Starting with the first player, players take turns playing a card on top of an empty space (face-down card) in the movie.
"When Played" effects must be resolved by the active player after playing the card. Players ignore Editing effects (scissors icon) during the Filming Phase, but must comply with ongoing effects (star icon).
When all Scene Cards have been placed into the movie, players proceed to the Editing Phase.
Editing Phase
Players may communicate however they wish during the Editing Phase.
Players now resolve all Editing effects (scissors icon) in the movie, from lowest to highest scene number regardless of their position in the movie.
Completing the Act
Scenes must be in numerical order to complete the act. Players may use face-up Deleted Scenes to remove out-of-order Scene Cards from the movie. If any scenes remain out of order, they lose the game.
If the players successfully complete the act, they shuffle all 16 Scene Cards together and move on to the next act. The first player alternates in every act. Act II uses 7 face-down cards, and the first player gets an extra card. Act III uses 8 face-down cards and two 4-card hands. Deleted Scenes do not reset between acts. Once used, they remain face down for the rest of the game.
Winning the Game
If the players complete Act III, they win the game! The fewer Deleted Scenes they used, the better the resulting movie. For a more challenging game, try playing with fewer Deleted Scenes.
