Components
Not printed as a heading in the source. The component list is shown as pictures on the contents page, as follows: 25 Ladybird tokens, 1 Flower, 1 Mosquito, 4 Bee tokens, 1 Apple, 16 Bee cards, 16 Apple cards, 16 Mosquito cards.
Aim of the game: Win as many Ladybird tokens as possible.
Game set-up: Each player places their cards face down in a pile in front of themself, without looking at them. Place the Flower, Mosquito, and Apple in the centre. Each player takes 1 Bee token, which they place within hand's reach of themself, and 1 Ladybird token.
Playing the Game
Players use just one hand, the one that they use to flip the card. Each player flips the top card of their pile at the same time.
- If 2 or more players flip a Mosquito card, each of those players must slam their hand on the Mosquito.
- If 2 or more players flip a Bee card, each of those players must try to place their Bee on the Flower.
- If 2 or more players flip an Apple card, all players must grab the Apple.
- If all players flip different cards, nothing happens.
The fastest player takes a Ladybird token. If a player makes the wrong move they lose a token, if they have one.
Then, set aside the cards that were flipped. Players continue playing by flipping the next card.
The game ends when the piles of cards are empty. The players count their tokens.
Note
In a 4-player game, it is possible that players have a double game action to carry out if they flip over, for example: 2 Mosquitoes and 2 Bees, or 2 Apples and 2 Bees, etc. When this happens, all the players must act but only the two fastest players will take 1 Ladybug token.
Editor's note: the printed rules say "Ladybird token" in the main text and "Ladybug token" in this Note; both are transcribed as printed.
