What's Included

  • 4 monster sets, each with 6 monster pieces in one color
  • 50 monster cards

Before You Begin

Each player takes one monster set with 6 pieces of the same color. Any leftover sets are removed from the game. Place the pieces of your set in front of you in any order. Shuffle the monster cards and place them face down in a stack in the center of the table.

Let's Get Started

Take turns playing clockwise over several rounds. Who saw a monster most recently? You start the first round and flip over the top monster card from the stack so everyone can see it clearly.

Now everyone plays at the same time! Look closely at the monster shown on the card. Find the matching monster pieces from your set and assemble them to match the picture.

Important:

  • Pay attention to the front and back of the monster pieces.
  • Watch the position and orientation of each piece.
  • Rotate pieces if necessary.
  • Look carefully to see whether the monster is made of 5 or 6 pieces.

Slap the monster card

If you think your assembled monster matches the one on the face-up card, slap your hand down on the monster card in the middle.

At that moment, all other players must immediately take their hands off their monster pieces. No one may place or adjust any more pieces.

Take turns looking at each monster and count the pieces that are placed correctly. Be sure to check both the position and the orientation of each piece.

  • Who has the most correctly placed monster pieces? Great! You get the face-up monster card as a reward. Place the card face down in front of you.
  • Did more than one player place the most pieces correctly? No problem! Each of you takes an extra reward card from the face-down stack.
  • If no one has placed a single piece correctly, the monster card is removed from the game.

Example: In the picture, Blue and Orange each have 5 pieces correct. Both players take a monster card as their reward.

New Round

Leave your monster pieces in front of you. The next player clockwise flips over a new monster card from the stack, and everyone once again races to assemble the monster shown.

When Does the Game End?

The game ends as soon as one player earns their fifth monster card and wins. If several players achieve this at the same time, they all win together.
