Game Components

  • 98 cards;
  • 6 player mats;
  • Game rules.

Game Setup

  1. Shuffle the cards.
  2. Without looking, remove extra cards from the deck according to the table below:
Number of players23456
Cards to be removed302015105
  1. Put the created deck in the middle of the table.
  2. Give each player a mat.

The person who was the last to eat in a diner starts first.

How to Start a Game

Each player has two areas in front of them:

  1. Player's mat is a place where you get the cards from.
  2. Diner is a place near you where you move the cards from your mat.

(Figure: the deck sits in the middle of the table; each player's mat is next to the deck, and each player's diner is the area in front of them.)

Gameplay

Each player takes his/her turn.

  1. The first player takes the upper card and puts it either on his/her mat or on the mat of another player.

There can't be more than two cards on another player's mat. If there are two cards already, you can't add any more cards.

  1. The player's move is over when there are three cards on the mat. After that all cards are moved to the diner.

Pay attention, when it's your turn and your «kind» friends already put two cards on your mat, a single extra card will end your move.

  1. Then the move is passed to the next player clockwise.

Recommendations for the Game

Put the same cards together so that other players can see how many you've got. Top left corner shows how many cards you need to get the points. This will help at the end of the game. The infinity sign means that there could be as many cards as you get during the game and the score will depend on the features of the card. The «1+1» sign could be found only on cards Restaurant Critic and Precept. Find out more about them at the end of the rules.

(Figure: a sample Pizza Maker card with four labelled parts: the number of cards needed to get the winning points (top left), the sign of a card (top right), the conditions to get the points (the pizza icon), and the number of winning points (12).)

End of the Game and Scoring

The game ends when a player puts the last card from the deck on a mat, whether his/her own or another player's. All the cards from the mats are moved to the Diners. The players score their points according to the following scheme:

  1. First use the cards Restaurant Critic and Precept.
  2. Then count the points for MasterChef.
  3. Finally count all other cards.

The player with the biggest score wins. If the number of points is equal, the player with more Janitors steals a victory. If even in this case the number of such cards is the same, it's a fair draw.

Example of Scoring

(Figure captions as printed: Precept didn't work; 12 points; 2 points; 2 points; 6 points; 10 points; 0 points.)

Extra card Pizza Maker is discarded. MasterChef is also discarded since there is no Ice Cream Man and Florist.

Total: 32 points

Description of Cards

Each Janitor card brings 1 point at the end of the game.

Every two cards of Ice Cream Man bring 5 points.

Every four cards of Pizza Maker bring 12 points.

Odd number of Florists give you 6 points, while even number brings 0.

Salad-meister brings points according to the table on the card. For example, 4 cards will bring the maximum of winning points, 1 or 7 — the minimum.

One or two Bartender cards bring 10 points, three — 0 points, four or more will take away 2 points.

MasterChef will bring 7 points but only if your diner has all types of cards listed on the card MasterChef.

Restaurant Critic and Precept is a combo. If you have these two cards then at the end of the game they can become any other card, or remove any card you don't need. For example, they can turn into MasterChef or Pizza Maker and bring you more points. Or remove an even Florist card.

If at the end of his/her move a player has an Unwelcome guest, he has to put this card on another player's mat and move any card from that diner to his/her own. If another player doesn't have any cards, the card is still to be given away. Another player will keep it till the end of the game and get 2 points for it.

Have a nice game!
