If I have more damage than an ally's Defense, can the extra go elsewhere?
Two players agreed, and the rulebook says damage may be split between Allies and players.

Yes — an ally only takes damage equal to its Defense, and the rest of your damage can go to another ally or to the Target holder in the next step.
