- 1 giant cheese

The Object of the Game
Collect five pieces of cheese as quickly as possible – without Max sneaking up on you!
Preparation
- Put the large cheese in the middle of the table.
- Insert the ladders in the openings at the top of the cheese, making sure they snap into place.
- Put the pieces of cheese to the side.
- Place the cat next to any square on the game board.
- Each player chooses a mouse and puts in on the top of the cheese, in one of the indentations.
- Take turns to let your mouse fall down the hole in the cheese. The space your mouse lands on becomes your starting position.
- When there are only two players, you should take turns using two mice each.
- If there are three of you, leave the fourth mouse in the box.
Let the Cheese Chase Begin!
The youngest player goes first.
Throw the die and advance your mouse by the number shown, in a clockwise direction. Follow the actions for the square where you land, as instructed below.
Square Actions
- Mouse with one piece of cheese: Take one piece of cheese from the bank.
- Mouse with two pieces of cheese: Take two pieces of cheese from the bank.
- Mouse dropping cheese: You must give one of your cheese pieces back to the bank. If you haven't yet collected any cheese, then nothing happens.
- Max the cat: Move Max the cat to any square of your choice. If another player has a mouse on this square, then Max gives them a scare and they must return a piece of cheese to the bank. If this player doesn't yet have any cheese, then of course he doesn't have to give any back.
- Ladder: Climb up the ladder to get to the top of the cheese. Then slide your mouse down through the hole so it lands onto a square. Once your mouse has come to a stop, immediately do whatever is instructed of you on that square where he landed.
Whenever you move your mouse, move Max the cat forward by one square, in a clockwise direction. Then your turn is over.
If there are any mice in the place where Max the cat is moved to, then the player(s) who own this mouse – or these mice – must return one piece of cheese to the bank, assuming they have any cheese to return.
Now it's the turn of the player to your left, and the fun continues!
End of the Game
The first player to collect five pieces of cheese wins the game.
