Goal of the Game

During a game of Mi-Fu-Chi, the players fight a battle of cards against a background of Rock-Paper-Scissors, of which the Wa Wabbit is the only judge. Win the duels and draw the Wa Wabbit into your camp, and he will offer you one of his treasures. Collect the 3 Treasures of the Wa, and victory is yours!

Setup

  • Assemble the game board puzzle between the two players. The orange camp is at one end and the blue camp is at the other.
  • Place the Wa Wabbit figurine on his throne.
  • Place the 3 Wa Treasure cards behind him in his chest.
  • Each player shuffles their deck and places it face down within reach. This is their draw pile.
  • Each player draws 4 cards from their deck and looks at them. These form their starting hand.

Duel

At each turn, the players hold a duel. Each player looks at their cards and chooses one, which they place face down in front of them. The two cards are then revealed at the same time and their symbols are compared.

The notice's duel diagram shows the matchups between the cards. The Pierre (Rock), Feuille (Leaf) and Ciseaux (Scissors) cards form a loop of arrows in the diagram, in the same way as Rock-Paper-Scissors. The Cawotte (carrot) and Dofus Cawotte (egg) cards are shown in a separate group, with arrows pointing towards the Pierre, Feuille and Ciseaux loop. The text of the notice gives no further explanation of these arrows; they are reproduced here as the diagram shows them.

Lenald card

  • When you reveal a Lenald, draw one card immediately.
  • Then play another card from your hand on top of the Lenald!

Winner

If a player wins the duel, they turn the Wa Wabbit figurine towards their camp and move it forward one space.

Throne

When he is on his throne, the Wa Wabbit can be moved towards one of the two spaces in front of him.

Ties

If the two cards played at the end are identical, there is no winner and the Wa figurine is not moved for this duel.

Draw pile

  • At the end of the duel, the played cards go to the discard pile.
  • Each player draws from their deck until they again have 4 cards in hand.
  • When a player can no longer draw, they shuffle the cards of their discard pile and form a new draw pile.
  • And off you go for another turn!

Wa Treasure

The Wa Wabbit's Treasure contains, among other things, the 3 magic objects that make up his regalia. The Wa keeps them carefully in his chest near his throne.

Gaining a treasure

When you move the Wa Wabbit figurine as far as your camp, you win one of his treasures.

  • Take the Treasure card you want.
  • Put the Wa Wabbit figurine back on his throne.
  • If there are no more Wa Treasure cards in the chest, it is not a problem: take one from your opponent!

Advantages

Each Wa Treasure brings a particular advantage. If you own 2 Wa Treasure cards, you benefit from each advantage. And if you own 3, well done, you have won the game!

  • The Wa Wabbit's Cape: Under this ample cape you can "snuggle" a little. As long as you own this fine cape, if the Wa Wabbit figurine is turned towards your camp, you refill your hand to 5 cards at the end of the turn instead of 4. "But where did I wrap that Carrot?!?"
  • The Wa Wabbit's Staff: Pure violence, this staff! As long as you have it in your possession, when you win a Duel, draw a random card from your opponent's hand and discard it. "The victwaw's fingers in the nose!"
  • The Wa Wabbit's Hat: What presence you have, with this hat; top class! As long as you own this magnificent headgear, you win all ties in Duels. "Did you see how I wiped them out like that?"

Combo

At any time in the game, you may discard 3 cards from your hand to make a combo. If both players make a combo at the same time, the one whose Wa Wabbit figurine is turned towards their camp has priority.

  • 3 Pierres, or 3 Feuilles, or 3 Ciseaux (3 Rocks, or 3 Leaves, or 3 Scissors): Move the Wa 1 space towards your camp!
  • 3 Cawottes (3 Carrots): Move the Wa 3 spaces towards your camp!
  • 3 Lenalds: Take a Wa Treasure!
  • Dofus Cawotte: When you make a Combo, the Dofus works a little like a joker: it may replace one Pierre, Feuille, Ciseau or Cawotte card (but NOT a Lenald).

The Deck

Each player has a pack of 25 cards, orange or blue, called a duel deck. Each deck is made up of the same cards:

  • Cawotte (Carrot) x3
  • Dofus Cawotte (Egg) x1
  • Lenald x3
  • Pierre (Rock) x6
  • Feuille (Leaf) x6
  • Ciseaux (Scissors) x6

Tips

Although most players do not take MiFuChi too seriously, if you are tired of being beaten hands down, follow these few wise tips.

To deliver a good thrashing

  • Count the cards! For example, if your opponent has played all their "Ciseaux" (Scissors) cards, your "Feuille" (Leaf) cards no longer have anything to fear. And your "Pierre" (Rock) cards will not be worth much...
  • Make your combos at the right moment! Try to make them when they can win you a Wa Wabbit treasure.
  • When you own Wa Treasures, do not forget the advantages they give you!
  • Bluff, rile your opponent by talking like a Wabbit, make them derail... all moves are allowed!
