- 10 Cave tiles
Setup
Shuffle the Cave tiles, create a face-up stack and place it next to the Turn Order tile.
Playing with the Cave Tiles
The first player who returns their Totem to the Turn Order tile takes the first available Cave tile, INSTEAD of the bonus indicated by the Turn Order tile.
You can get the Cave tile bonus any time. If the tile shows Food in the upper section (orange background), you must pay that Food to get the bonus below. Discard the tile after it's resolved.
You can't keep more than one Cave tile at a time. So, if you take a second tile you must immediately resolve one.
Cave Tile Faces
The tiles carry no names. They are listed below in the order they appear on the Italian edition card scan (left to right, top to bottom, in two columns of five).
Tiles with an orange upper section require payment of the Food shown there before the lower bonus is gained. Tiles without an orange upper section give their reward directly.
- No upper section: gain 1 Food and 1 Prestige Point (laurel icon).
- No upper section: gain 2 Food.
- Pay 1 Food, then gain: red downward arrow.
- Pay 2 Food, then gain 2 Prestige Points for each maroon icon with a spiral-sun glyph.
- Pay 2 Food, then gain: green upward arrow.
- Pay 1 Food, then gain 1 Food for each maroon icon with a tool-like glyph.
- Pay 1 Food, then gain 1 Food for each orange icon with a bowl-like glyph.
- Pay 2 Food, then gain 2 Prestige Points for each yellow icon with an animal-like glyph.
- Pay 2 Food, then gain 1 Food for each red icon with a bird-like glyph.
- Pay 1 Food, then gain 1 Prestige Point for each teal hand icon with a ≠ sign.
Notes on Icons
- The meat-on-the-bone icon is Food, as used throughout the base game.
- The laurel-wreath icon is read as Prestige Points. This reading is a judgment call: the publisher's text does not name the laurel icon.
- The "×" between a reward amount and an icon is read as "for each" of that icon. The publisher's text does not spell this out.
- The arrows and the coloured circle glyphs are described by their appearance only. The publisher's text does not name them, so their meanings are not given here.
