  • 8 Fork pawns
  • 1 rulebook

Rules for an Even Number of Players (4, 6, 8 players)

Goal of the Game: Be the Most Compatible Duo!

  • Place the board and the pile of Theme cards on the table.
  • Each player takes a pack of 42 Image cards. The back of the cards shows its color. Each pack contains the same set of 42 images.
  • Form teams of 2 players sitting face to face. Each team chooses a Fork pawn matching one of the 2 colors of the duo, and places it on the Start space.

Turn Sequence

  1. One player announces a number between 1 and 12, draws a Theme card and reads aloud the theme corresponding to that number.
  2. Simultaneously, all players secretly choose, among their 42 Image cards, those that, in their opinion, best illustrate the theme.
    • Each player selects as many cards as the number shown on the space where the Fork pawn of their team is located (between 1 and 5 cards).
    • Each player then ranks their chosen cards face down in front of them, from the one most associated with the theme to the least associated (from left to right).
  3. Once the cards are ranked, they are revealed one by one. At each reveal, the 2 members of a team compare their 2 images:
    • Same image and same position: the team advances 3 spaces.
    • Same image but different position: the team advances 2 spaces.
  4. Players take back their 42 Image cards, and a new turn begins!

End of the Game

The first team to reach the last space wins. In case of a tie, the team that goes furthest beyond the last space wins.

Example

Theme 12: "Vacations". The 2 players of the chocolate-pickle team reveal their images:

  1. After revealing the first card, they advance the team's Fork pawn 3 spaces on the board.
  2. After revealing the second card, they have no new image in common: they do not advance.
  3. After revealing the third card, they advance their Fork pawn 2 spaces on the board thanks to the "sunset" image.

Of course, there is no question of giving hints to your partner or the other players during the selection of images (even if it is tempting)... But at the reveal, feel free to say "BUT WHY DID YOU PUT THAT?!"

Rules for an Odd Number of Players (3, 5, 7 players)

The rules are the same, with the following adjustments:

  • One player is designated as the referent for the whole game. They get to see with whom they are the most compatible!
  • At each turn, the other players must try to choose the same cards as the referent in order to prove their compatibility with them.
  • The referent:
    • has no Fork pawn on the board;
    • ALWAYS selects 5 cards.
  • Each other player:
    • places the Fork pawn of their color on the Start space at the beginning of the game;
    • selects at each turn as many cards as the number shown on the space where their own pawn is located.
  • At each turn, each player compares their cards with those of the referent:
    • Same image and same position: they advance 3 spaces.
    • Same image but different position: they advance 2 spaces.
