How to Play

The players compete to become "Master of Movies".

This is achieved by answering questions correctly in the eight different categories, where the final category is QUOTE (CITAT).

The players start in the four smaller outer circles, on any clapperboard (which, once the game is under way, functions as a free-choice field). The players move in either direction.

When a player lands on one of the four category fields, a fellow player reads the matching question aloud from one of the cards. If the player answers the question correctly, they get a "film reel" in the same colour as the field. The film reel is placed on the player's game piece.

The player may continue rolling for as long as they answer the questions correctly. When a player has won four "film reels" in the different colours/categories of the outer circle, they may continue into the large inner circle via one of the clapperboard fields.

Inner Circle

In the inner circle the players continue to collect "film reels". BIROLL deals with the smaller, often surprising, role interpretations. ON-SCREEN deals with everything you see and hear in the films. OFF-SCREEN, on the other hand, deals with everything that happens outside the white screen, such as famous boy- and girlfriends, parents and other such trivia.

As on the outer track, the players go round the board, with one exception: the QUOTE field is only in use for the player who has collected the other seven "film reels" on their game piece. Answering the QUOTE question correctly wins the round, and the player is "Master of Movies".

NOTE: The QUOTE field works as a neutral field that is hopped over (not counted when rolling the die) if the player has not yet collected the other seven "film reels".

If the players find the QUOTE questions too difficult, they may agree that the reader makes them easier by saying which actor spoke the line or which year the quote comes from.
