Mandatory Effects
Some Hero cards may have mandatory special effects. These can be identified by a black background in the text box. When such a card is played, the Hero MUST resolve the special effect as well. They don't have the option of ignoring it.
Deadpool Chaos Challenge
The Deadpool Chaos Challenge adds the random influence of a trickster Deadpool to the game, hindering or helping the Heroes or Villain at different times.
During setup, drop the Challenge card on the table and place Deadpool's Challenge piece on the nearest Location the card points to.
Shuffle the Deadpool Chaos cards into a facedown deck. Any time a Hero ends their turn in Deadpool's Location (before activating a Location effect), or a Villain ends their movement there (after activating any [effect icon] effect), draw the top card of the Deadpool Chaos deck and resolve it, moving Deadpool as indicated and then resolving the card's effect.
Editor's note: the leaflet shows the Villain effect as an icon that is not legible enough in the photograph to name; it is shown here as the placeholder [effect icon].
Deadpool Villain
As a Villain, Deadpool cannot be defeated. All Heroes can do is to try to survive and do their best until his Master Plan deck runs out, at which point Deadpool gets bored of beating them up and leaves.
Keep count of the rescued and defeated icons (rescued Civilians and defeated Thugs) and Threats cleared. At the end of the game, tally them up to see what score was achieved:
- +1 point for each rescued Civilian.
- +1 point for each defeated Thug.
- +5 points for each cleared Threat (note that the Wasting your Wilds Threat grants +10 points instead).
- -10 points for each Hero eliminated.
Then, check the total score against Deadpool's scoring chart:
- 50+: CHEATER. It's over 50!!! You clearly cheated!
- 40-49: LEGEN... DARY! Slow clap You were a worthy opponent. Bows head
- 25-39: BIG HERO. Not bad. You almost made me break a sweat.
- 10-24: STREET LEVEL. Hey, that was actually a pretty respectable score... NOT!
- 0-9: PARTICIPATION AWARD. Well, you tried. You failed miserably... but you tried.
- NEGATIVE: EPIC FAIL. Wow, that was worse than my first movie appearance.
Editor's note: the rescued and defeated scoring icons are rendered as the Civilian and Thug they stand for; the leaflet photograph shows them only as icons.
