  • 15 wooden pieces: 2 tigers, 2 panthers, 10 building pieces and 1 feeding tin
  • 30 cards with 60 tasks

Goal of the Game

Two players at a time try to rebuild the pictured task as quickly as possible. The player who has entered the most reward points at the end wins.

Setup

Play on as smooth a surface as possible so the wooden pieces stand securely. Get a pencil and paper for scoring. Draw a table and write the names of all players across the top.

Depending on the number of players, play the following number of rounds:

  • 2 players play 5 rounds.
  • 3 players play 4 rounds. In each round, Player A plays against B, Player B against C, and Player C against A.
  • 4 players play 3 rounds. In each round, Player A plays against B, Player B against C, Player C against D, and Player D against A.

Each of the two animal tamers takes an identical set of wooden pieces, consisting of one tiger, one panther and five different building pieces.

Place the purple feeding tin next to the card stack, which you have shuffled well beforehand.

Starting the Game

One player turns the top card face up and places it on the table so that both animal tamers can see it. With two players, you take turns revealing cards. With more players, someone who is not currently taking a turn does this.

That player then calls the start command "Manege frei!" ("Ring open!"). Only after this do you start building.

At the same time, both players try to reproduce the task shown on the card with their wooden pieces as quickly as possible.

Whoever believes they have built their wooden pieces correctly grabs the feeding tin and calls out loudly "Bravo!".

All players then check together whether the applause is really deserved. Do all the wooden pieces stand exactly as on the card?

  • If everything is correct: enter the points of the card in the table under the player's name. Cards are worth one, two or three points.
  • If it was built incorrectly: the opponent receives the reward points!

After that, the card is removed from the game, the feeding tin is put back in the middle, and you continue with the next two animal tamers.

End of the Game

Once you have played the stated number of rounds, add up your reward points. Whoever had the most success with their animal act and wins the game?

Hints for Playing with Younger Animal Tamers

  • At the start, it is best to sort out the somewhat more difficult cards worth three points.
  • If younger children play with each other, they receive the card they played as their reward. It counts one point at the end. You can then do without the table.
  • When building, older players are often at an advantage. Agree that the younger children may use both hands and the older players may build with only one hand.
