Which Drone chart should I use when building the Hive deck?
The designer confirmed the revised chart is deliberate, and the expansion rulebook says to use it for the base game too.

Use the revised Drone chart from the expansion rules, even if you only own the base game. It gives 0 / 0 / 0 Drones in the three mini-decks for one player, 0 / 1 / 2 for two, 2 / 3 / 4 for three, and 4 / 5 / 6 for four or five (five players also get one preparation turn that skips the Hive phase). The base rulebook's one-Drone-per-player-per-mini-deck rule is the older version, and the designer confirmed the difference is intentional.
