• 300 cards: 200 Spin cards, 94 Scandal cards, and 6 Leslie Knope's Official Candidate Debate Tips cards
• 18 cardboard Vote tokens

The First Time You Play

Punch out the Vote tokens from the cardboard frame.

Set It Up

1. Separate the Spin cards and the Scandal cards into two decks. Shuffle both decks and place them facedown in the center of play.
2. Place the Vote tokens next to the two decks.
3. Deal five Spin cards to each player. Players may secretly look at their cards.
4. Give each player a Leslie Knope's Official Candidate Debate Tips card.

Play

The player who last ate waffles starts as the reporter, while the other players are candidates. Play then moves to the left.

Each Round

1. The reporter draws two cards from the Scandal deck, chooses one, and places the other at the bottom of the deck. They read the chosen card to the candidates, then place it in the center of play where everyone can see it.

2. Each candidate responds to the scandal. They can say as much or as little as they'd like, but they must incorporate the exact quote on one of their Spin cards at some point in their answer.

3. After each candidate has responded, the reporter chooses the best answer. That candidate collects a Vote token. Candidates place their used Spin cards in a discard pile.

4. Everyone who played a Spin card draws a new one.

Now a new round begins, and the role of reporter moves to the left.

Scandal Cards

Depending on which Scandal card the reporter picks, candidates might respond to a headline from The Pawnee Journal or the Pawnee Sun, a prompt from Ya Heard? With Perd's Perd Hapley, or a citizen write-in.

Win

The first player to collect three Vote tokens wins! Congratulations, you beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful musk ox.
