Components

  • 12 long yellow "quills" with a metal ring
  • 20 long green "quills" without a metal ring
  • 20 short blue "quills"
  • 2 supports
  • 1 metal crossbar
  • 1 "hedgehog" (triangular magnet)
  • 1 cardboard playpen with two holes
  • 1 rulebook

Setup

First, place the cardboard playpen with two holes onto the plastic stand. Then insert the two supports into the holes so that they stand vertically. Now simply connect the two supports with the metal crossbar, and the trapeze is ready. Now hang the "hedgehog" on the crossbar by any one of its magnetized corners.

All players take an equal number of "quills" of each kind. If there are three players, the extra "quills" are simply set aside.

Gameplay

The player whose birthday is nearest may start the game and attach the first "quill" with a metal ring to the hedgehog. Then the players, one after another clockwise, either attach their "quill" with a metal ring to the hedgehog, or lay a "quill" without a metal ring on top of the "quills" already attached to the hedgehog.

If one, two or three "quills" fall during a player's turn, that player must take them and add them to their own supply of "quills".

If more than three "quills" fall, the player adds to their supply only the three "quills" worth the most penalty points. All other fallen quills are simply set aside.

Penalty Points for Quills

  • Long yellow "quill" with a metal ring: 1 point.
  • Long green "quill" without a metal ring: 2 points.
  • Short blue "quill": 3 points.

End of the Game

As soon as one player has attached all the "quills" from their supply to the hedgehog, the game ends and that player is declared the winner. The other players total the penalty points for the "quills" remaining in their hands and determine places 2 through 5: the player with the fewest penalty points takes 2nd place, and so on.

If you decide to play KLICKADO over several rounds, it is easier to record the players' points on paper and determine the winner by the total at the end of the game. The player with the fewest points at the end wins! The player with the most points, unfortunately, takes last place...

Your Personal Record

Of course, you can also play KLICKADO on your own: try to attach as many "quills" to the hedgehog as possible, and then keep trying to beat your own record!

Enjoy playing KLICKADO and remember: "Attach your quills to the hedgehog in any way imaginable and unimaginable!"
