30 patient tiles, 4 vet tiles, 3 medicine dice, 1 sticker sheet, 1 set of instructions

Before the first game

First you need to place the stickers on the dice. Included are six different symbol stickers; one symbol sticker needs to be placed on each of the six different sides of the dice. The border around the sticker sheet helps with the allocation.

Preparation

Mix all the patient tiles and distribute them evenly on three face-up piles in the middle of the table. The side with the sick animals and medicines/medicinal products they need should be face up. Each player receives one vet tile showing the little fox. Get the 3 dice ready.

How to play

Play in a clockwise direction. The player who was most recently sick starts and rolls the 3 dice.

Compare your dice roll with the three top patient tiles in the middle of the table. Each tile shows 2 or 3 medicines/medicinal products that the animal needs to be treated with. To treat a patient and receive the healthy animal tile, your dice need to show the appropriate symbols, at the latest by your third roll.

  • You did it! Great! Take the patient tile, turn it over, and place it next to your vet tile. As you only need to treat each type of animal once, you no longer need to collect any more patients of this type. The next sick animal tile becomes visible on the stack in the middle of the table.
  • Didn't make it: Too bad! All patient tiles stay on the stack.

The next player takes their turn by rolling the dice.

Important dice rules

  • You may roll the dice up to three times per turn.
  • On the first roll you always roll all 3 dice.
  • On the second and third rolls you may re-roll as many of the dice as you like.
  • Set aside the dice that you would like to collect after each roll.
  • In the third roll you may also roll dice that you have already set aside.
  • If you already rolled enough for a patient tile on the first or second roll then you can naturally forgo further rolls and stop immediately.
  • If you can treat multiple animals with your roll, then you must select one of the tiles.
  • The star on the dice is a joker, and can be used to treat all ailments. It can therefore be used for a symbol of your choice. Important: Only one joker at a time may be used to treat an animal.

Warning: If the top animals on the piles are all ones that you have already treated then you may move one of the animals to the top of a different pile. If all players have already treated the top animal/s, then it/they are taken out of the game.

End of the game

The game ends when one of the players has treated all five different animals and thus wins the game.
