Game Components
- 24 animal cards: 7 x elephant, 7 x zebra, 6 x giraffe, 4 x lion
- 48 photo cards: 21 x three animals, 15 x four animals, 12 x five animals
Game Setup
Animal Cards
Shuffle all of the animal cards. Draw the first 12 cards and place them in a ring so that each animal has its head pointing to the middle of the circle. This forms the "animal circle".
Important: Make sure the animals are always oriented with their heads pointing towards the middle of the circle while playing.
Place the remaining animal cards in a face-down pile in the middle of the table. Turn the topmost card face up, leaving it on top of the pile.
Photo Cards
Separate the photo cards according to the number of animals shown (3, 4 and 5 animals) and shuffle each group separately. Place them as face-down draw piles next to the playing area. Each player now draws one 3-animal photo card into their hand.
The youngest player is the start player and begins the game.
Gameplay
Each player tries to first take three photos with 3 animals, then two photos with 4 animals and finally one photo with 5 animals (see TAKING PHOTOS). The photo cards show the photo subjects. The first player to take all of the required photos wins the game.
Play is in clockwise direction. On your turn, you must choose one of the following actions:
A) Switch Neighbouring Animals
Switch the positions of two animal cards directly adjacent to each other.
Important: You are not allowed to simply reverse a switch made by the player who went immediately before you!
B) Switch With The Draw Deck
Switch the animal card of your choice with the animal card on top of the draw pile.
Important: You are not allowed to simply reverse a switch made by the player who went immediately before you!
C) Reveal A New Animal Card
Turn the topmost card on the draw pile face-down. Then look through the draw deck, take an animal card of your choice and move it, face-up, on top of the pile.
D) Discard Photo Card
Take your photo card in hand and move it, face-down, to the bottom of the corresponding draw pile. Draw the topmost photo card from this pile and add it to your hand.
Taking Photos
You are allowed to take the photo indicated by your photo card at any time, even if it is not your turn. To do so compare the photo card with the animals around the animal circle. If the animals on the photo card can be found, in exactly the same arrangement, in the animal circle, then quickly call "Click!". The game is paused and you have to prove that the photo is taken correctly by placing the photo card next to the necessary animals.
If you are right, place the photo card face-up in front of yourself and draw your next photo card, adding it to your hand (see Drawing Photo Cards).
If you are wrong, you have to take the photo card back to your hand.
Important: The orientation of the animals on the photo card must match the orientation of the animals in the circle.
The game continues with the player whose turn it was.
Drawing Photo Cards
The more animals are on a photo card, the harder it is to take the corresponding photo. Players start the game with photo cards showing 3 animals. Once you have taken all of the necessary photos at a particular difficulty level, start drawing cards for the next-higher difficulty level. To make it easier to see what you've accomplished so far, keep the photos you've taken separated according to animal number.
Game End
The game ends as soon as one player has taken all of the required photos:
| Photos | with 3 Animals | with 4 Animals | with 5 Animals |
|---|---|---|---|
| Number | 3 | 2 | 1 |
That player is the winner.
If you want a shorter or longer game you can decide to change the number of necessary photos for each difficulty level. For four players we generally suggest to play with a limit of one photo card with five animals or to leave them out completely.
