How do the Dung Beetle Knight's separation effects and trap work?

Separated effects trigger only when an AI card is drawn and only on cards that mention separation; there is no rewind to the start of the flow. If the knight's trap move can't reach the attacker, it stops there with no leap or slam. The dung ball terrain card goes into the terrain deck and can appear in other encounters.
