How do rubble and covered gear work against the Black Knight?

Anything that collides with crumbling terrain, monsters included, reduces it to rubble, and the expansion includes the Rubble cards and tokens. Squires can't archive gear, but gear can be covered by other gear cards; covered gear is treated as not in the grid for the rest of the campaign.
