How do arrows work with a bow: do they inherit the bow's properties, and can several be fired?

Arrows are ammunition and need a bow in the gear grid to activate; only the bow's base range is used, its other abilities don't carry over, and the arrow does not inherit properties like Cumbersome. Two distinct arrows can each be fired (the special text of an arrow of the same kind triggers only once). Each survivor's own arrow can apply its effect.
