Can I add an expansion's disorders, fighting arts and innovations without playing the monster, and do I redraw cards that don't fit?

Yes: follow the 'Upgrade your core game' instructions in each expansion book. Ordinary disorders, fighting arts and innovations can be mixed in, but secret fighting arts need the monster. Once an expansion joins a campaign its content goes into the pool, and players commonly redraw the occasional card that makes no sense without the expansion. Rare gear cards are never drawn at random, so they can be stored anywhere. Expansion monsters are extra options; only Spidicules (replacing the Antelope) and Slenderman (replacing the King's Man) replace base monsters.
